Agreed.. Sounds counter intuitive.. But if we paid just for gas with no subsidies or taxes, there would be no middle man. With the current scheme of things, the government gets to play middle man with our money and filter it through their pockets before it reaches its intended recipient. We need anarchy!

I couldn't agree with you more. There's a clear political backing behind all the drama that is happening and people aren't ready to get to know beyond what is presently being projected by the media. What is more funny is that everybody has this feeling that they're saving India by going pro-Jan Lokpal.
